Christian Borle born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Christian Borle has been primarily featured as an actor on Broadway. Christian Borle attended St. Edmund’s Academy in the Pittsburgh area, where played Scrooge in a 1987 production of “Fezziwhig”. Christian Borle graduated from Shady Side Academy in Pittsburgh and attended Carnegie Mellon University before moving to New York in September of 1995.
Christian Borle made his Broadway debut in 1999 as Willard in the stage adaptation of the film Footloose. Christian Borle was featured in the 2000 revival of Jesus Christ Superstar, and as the dance captain and an understudy for the short lived 2002 musical Amour.
Christian Borle played Emmett Forrest in Jerry Mitchell’s Legally Blonde, based on MGM’s 2001 film of the same name in San Francisco and New York.
Christian Borle’s most notable credit is Monty Python’s Spamalot, in which Christian Borle played a number of roles, including Prince Herbert and the Historian. Christian Borle’s performance earned him a 2005 Drama Desk Award nomination as Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical.
