David Elsewhere What A Goof
David Elsewhere is the perfect example of having a dream and not letting go of that dream. David “Elsewhere” Bernal (born August 2, 1979) is a popping dancer from California. He is a legend on youtube through a viral video clip (Often titled Kolla2001) of himself dancing to Kraftwerk’s song Expo 2000 recorded at the Korean-American talent show Kollaboration in 2001.
The video of David Elsewhere takesm popping and makes it look like hye is made out of rubber.
Now this type of dancing is widely known and used but the fact is that David Elsewhere was really the first person to dance like this.
Now the real big deal is that David Elsewhere has become a showcase in big tv commercials especially for the iPod, he is the guy in silhouette you see dancing down the sidewalk listening to his iPod.David Elsewhere video as of Nov 2006 had been viewed over 200 million times making it the 8th most viewed video.
David Elsewhere was showcase on i-CAUGHT a tv show at ABC, it was great they showed not only dancing in the famous youtube David Elsewhere video but also showed how he has been in multiple commercials and movies.
David Elsewhere is a true inspiration, he proves that being an individual and believing in yourself pays off. To this day the iPod commercial is one of my favorite all time commercials.
It was a real treat to see him at i-CAUGHT, to see David Elsewhere is a treat, you do not know if to laugh your ass off at this white kid dancing or just being mazed at his flexibility.
On a side note, ABC might have a hit on there hands, if you have not seen i-CAUGHT I highly recommend it.recommend it, it is quite enjoyable.
