Mitzi Gaynor has an interesting history of growing up. You may have seen Mitzi Gaynor recently on Turner Classic movies. Mitzi Gaynor from an early age trained as a ballerina and eventually moved her careeer over as a chorus dancer. Mitzi gaynor sang, acted and even danced in a number of different film musicals where Mitzi Gaynor grew to become something big as she worked with other big named stars in the industry. This is really what helped Mitzy Gaynor to grow as an actress.

Her most popular work of all that got her some fame was from her starring role as the person Ensign Nellie Forbush. This was in a musical adaptation of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. The film was called South Pacific, and from that point on Mitzy Gaynor grew in popularity. Mitzy Gaynor has been in films which feature stars like Ginger Rogers, Frank Sinatra as well as David Niven, Dan Dailey, Betty Grable and even Oscar Levant. Mitzi Gaynor made her last film in the early 1960’s, but continued to still entertain with song and musicals. She will be remembered as a star.
