Hurricane Lorenzo

Hurricane Lorenzo is moving kind of weird but it may start to breakdown.

A tropical depression in the Gulf of Mexico grew to become Hurricane Lorenzo Thursday.

Hurricane watches were posted for Mexico’s Gulf coast from Palma Sola, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said. At 6 p.m. EDT, the center of the storm was 60 miles east-southeast of Tuxpan and moving southwest at 6 mph.

While Lorenzo intensified, Tropical Storm Karen grew weaker. At 5 p.m. EDT, Karen was 845 miles east of the Windward Islands and moving northwest at almost 13 mph.
