Storm Rips Apart Michigan City

Fenton, Mich., northwest of Detroit, was still littered with debris and without power Saturday, hours after a tornado crossed the town.

Fenton, Michigan, took the brunt of a major storm that spawned at least on tornado, left thousands without power and destroyed homes and businesses.


A violent tornado followed on the heels of severe thunderstorms in southeast Michigan, knocking down trees and power lines in cities. No serious injuries have been reported from the storms but many homes and businesses were destroyed.
