Tornado Drills Southeast Michigan

A violent tornado followed on the heels of severe thunderstorms in southeast Michigan, knocking down trees and power lines in cities. No serious injuries have been reported from the storms but many homes and businesses were destroyed.

Right now many, many homes with out power at Michigan. Authorities are working hard to try to restore power and start with the clean up.


Two tornadoes touched down Friday afternoon as skies darkened and then opened up across Southeast Michigan, causing flooding, freeway gridlock, blackouts and damaged property.

No injuries were reported in Southeast Michigan but at least one person died on the west side of the state due to the storms.
